MGT470 is the Management Internship Course for the School of Business. To register for the course, students must first complete the internship application and collect the appropriate signatures. The requirements for the course is identified below. Students will work independently with their faculty supervisor to complete the course requirements. ****Sport Management students are encouraged to complete two internships. Students should enroll in MGT470 as an elective during their junior year and in SRM475 as a senior.

Students are to create an e-Portfolio with pages to showcase their personal profile (About Me), Work Plan, Organizational Profile, Projects, and the Journal with the time sheet. GENERAL REQUIREMENTS MGT470 (Business)1. There will be a minimum of 150 clock hours per 3 semester hours of credit.
2. The student will post a work plan after initial consultation with the agency supervisor. 3. Students create a journal (one entry for every day of the internship - 20 minimum) 4. Students complete a daily log of activities to document hours 4. Students submit a final evaluation paper(s) - 15 double spaced or 8 single spaced pages. 5. Student e-mails link for an online performance evaluation to the worksite supervisor A meeting between the Faculty Supervisor and the worksite supervisor will be arranged at the worksite supervisor’s convenience halfway through the internship to discuss the student’s progress. Additional elements may be required by specific departments by the faculty member responsible for the internship. It is important that students conduct themselves in a professional manner before, during, and after the internship. PAPER OR PROJECT REQUIREMENTS
A paper is required as one of the graded components to MGT470. The paper is to be a minimum of 15 double space pages (or 8 single space pages) using 12 point Times Roman font and one inch margins.. Students are encouraged to create an Original Project that can be uploaded on the "Project" page
The self-reflection paper will report positive and negative aspects of the internship and will relate information learned on the internship with information learned in the classroom (do not cut and paste from your journal). Consider using the following headers to organize the paper:
